Before a career in education Sally was assistant manager in a number of sport and leisure facilities where she managed people, organised events, looked after the day-to-day operations and drove customer care standards. Sally’s interest in the world of teaching, learning and assessment came from her success coaching and developing staff and clients alike.

For the past 20 years Sally had worked in the further education sector as a lecturer in sport, business and public services, as a programme manager for sport, a learner services manager and quality manager. Over the last 3 years Sally has worked at Wrexham university as Student Advice and Guidance Manager within Student and Campus Life (student services).
