Shared Prosperity Funding
Wrexham University has secured Shared Prosperity Funding (SPF) which allows organisations based in Wrexham, Denbighshire, and Flintshire enhanced funded access to a number of our services through a range of schemes:
Skills Vouchers for Workshops and Short Courses
Organisations in Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire can access Skills Vouchers of up to £1500 per company when used towards continuous professional development through our programme of workshops and short courses.
Skills Vouchers offer businesses in the region reduced cost or fully-funded training with the opportunity to upskill their workforce and gain a competitive advantage. The Enterprise team at Wrexham University can facilitate a variety of options to provide a broad introduction to in-demand topics through our professional workshops and targeted short courses.

Knowledge Transfer Vouchers (KTVs)
The KTV offerings through SPF represent a significant enhancement to existing schemes, allowing businesses in Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire access of up to 10 vouchers per organisation, each worth £500, which is double the vouchers available to businesses outside the three counties.
This means that organisations or business individuals can now benefit from up to £5000 to bring in academic expertise; whether they are scoping out a new business concept, trialling an innovative process or exploring R&D.
KTVs can minimize the usual financial risk associated with such ventures and stimulate further collaboration and engagement between industry and academia.
To find out more about accessing KTVs, email enterprise@wrexham.ac.uk
Mini Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (Mini KTPs)
Mini KTPs allow businesses to recruit a graduate to their team on a 3-6 month project, while also accessing up to £6000 of academic time to support the project.
The addition of SPF support means that businesses in Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire can benefit from both academic time and financial assistance of up to £380 per week towards their graduate's wage.
