Whether you're printing by hand, shooting in a professional studio, or editing on industry-standard software, you'll gain the skills to produce portfolio-ready work across media and formats.

Photography Studio

A professional photography studio with full lighting rig and a white infinity cove, used for portrait, fashion, product and set photography. Students from Photography, Fine Art, Graphic Communication Jewellery, Silversmithing and Ceramics use this space to develop high-quality visual content for portfolios, lookbooks and assessments. The studio supports technical development in camera and lighting techniques, preparing students for commercial and editorial briefs.

Dark Room

A fully functioning black-and-white darkroom allows Photography and Fine Art students to develop film, produce hand-made prints and explore analogue photographic processes. It supports creative experimentation, material process, and technical control, helping students gain a deeper understanding of photographic history and visual narrative.

Print Room

Our traditional printmaking studio is equipped for linocut, woodblock, relief and monoprint processes. Students studying Fine Art, Illustration and Graphic Communication use this space to explore hands-on techniques that enhance their understanding of texture, layering and composition. This dedicated studio supports deep engagement with material-led processes and underpins portfolio development for both academic assessment and industry-facing opportunities.

Print and Production Studio

This contemporary production space is home to T-shirt and garment printing, mug pressing, screen printing, Risograph, laser printing and book binding. Popular with students across Graphic Communication, Illustration and Photography, this area allows for prototyping, promotional material creation, zines, and short-run artist books. It builds professional workflows and supports enterprise activity through sellable product creation and exhibition-ready works.

Mac Suite

Our newly refurbished digital studio features industry-standard iMacs equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud and specialist software for image editing, motion graphics, layout, and digital drawing. Selected stations also include 24-inch Wacom Cintiq displays, used for digital illustration and motion graphic workflows. This space is central to Graphic Communication, Illustration, Comics, and Photography, and supports portfolio-ready digital outcomes and contemporary media practice.
