Healthcare Simulation Centre

Our healthcare simulation centre comprises of two ward spaces and a simulation side bay, advanced audio/visual technology and an observation room that enables our students' work to be monitored by trained professionals. 

Our private ward room houses our cutting-edge anatomage table, enabling students to see the details of the human body in extrenuous details. 

‘Simbulance’ & ODP Space

Not only will our Paramedic Science students have access to our dedicated simulation ambulance, but we have also created a space indoors as part of our Health and Innovation Quarter to replicate the interior of an ambulance.
 
Time utilising these spaces will ensure our students are ready for our students career on the road. 

Plus, this versitile space is utilised by our Operating Department Practitioner students with scrub sink and all tools our students would find in a modern operating theatre, to equip them for success.

Nutrition and Dietetics Kitchen

Designed to facilitate practical workshops, our highly specialised clinical and food science facilities at our Wrexham campus will allow our students to develop culinary skills and work with the latest food technologies.

Tŷ Dysgu

Tŷ Dysgu/Learning House is our residential home right on campus. This versatile space, which is also used for our annual Major Incident simulations with local emergency services, can stage a variety of scenarios for students to work independently, or interprofessionally with other disciplines. Students from all our allied health degrees will gain a feel for working in the home environment. 

Whether they are a policing or paramedic science student responding to an incident with casualties, or forensic science student scouring the home for evidence linked to a crime, Tŷ Dysgu will bring our students as close as possible to real life scenarios. . 

Living Lab

A hybrid combination of a teaching space and simulated living environment, our living lab is the perfect space for our occupational therapy students to jump straigh from theory to practice.

Featuring all commodities of the modern home, our Occupational Therapy students can experience working with patience in these settings, ready for life after qualifying.
