Healthcare Simulation Centre
Our healthcare simulation centre comprises of two ward spaces and a simulation side bay, advanced audio/visual technology and an observation room that enables our students' work to be monitored by trained professionals.
Our private ward room houses our cutting-edge anatomage table, enabling students to see the details of the human body in extrenuous details.

Ambulance and ‘Simbulance’
Our Paramedic Science students train in a purpose-built simulation ambulance, known as the Simbulance, an indoor replica within our Health and Innovation Quarter. They also gain experience using a fully operational ambulance, including during practical scenarios like our Major Incident Day, preparing them for real-world emergency response.

Operating Department Practice Space
Our Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) space offers a realistic clinical training environment, complete with a scrub sink and surgical instruments. It’s designed to give students immersive, hands-on experience, helping them develop essential skills and confidence for working in real-world operating theatres.

Nutrition and Dietetics Kitchen
Our Wrexham campus features advanced clinical and food science facilities, designed for hands-on workshops.
Students develop culinary skills and explore cutting-edge food technologies, gaining practical experience essential for careers in health and nutrition.

Tŷ Dysgu
Tŷ Dysgu is our on-campus residential learning space, used for realistic training scenarios across allied health degrees.
From paramedics responding to emergencies to forensic students investigating crime scenes, it offers hands-on experience in a home environment, helping students develop practical skills in interprofessional and independent settings.

Living Lab
Our Living Lab blends a teaching space with a simulated home environment, ideal for Occupational Therapy students to move from theory to practice.
Fully equipped with modern home features, it prepares students to work confidently with patients in real-life settings after they qualify.
