Continuous Programme Monitoring and Enhancement (CME)
Continuous Programme Monitoring and Enhancement (CME) is Wrexham University’s approach to quality assurance and continuous enhancement of learning opportunities for students. The CME process is a ‘live’, evidence informed process with ongoing reflections from programme teams and actions identified and resolved at the earliest opportunity.
The CME process is comprised of:
- A rolling action plan for each programme or a suite of related programmes, subject to monthly review and monitoring during programme team meetings. New actions can be added as required.
- The CME end-of year report which focuses programme teams to reflect on the programme utilising various sources of evidence and to identify new actions to be added to the action plan.
- Module Evaluation and Moderation is to take place for every module through the completion of the Module Evaluation and Moderation Record (MEMR) form. Module Leaders are responsible for evaluating module performance and identify strengths and issues in delivery and assessment, drawing on feedback from internal moderation, external moderation, student feedback, and any other external feedback where available. These reflections can then feed into the CME action plan where appropriate.
The Continuous Monitoring and Enhancement Procedure sets out the approved processes for CME. If you have any queries about this procedure, please contact quality@wrexham.ac.uk.
All templates, programme CME End of Year Reports and Action Plans can be found in the Quality Hub for internal staff, or on the WU Partnerships Teams page for staff at academic partners.
