OpTIC Technology Centre
The OpTIC-based commercial and Research groups provide specialist optical engineering and surface metrology solutions and services to a range of industrial and academic sectors including astronomy, semiconductor, aerospace and space. The team can provide services on both a research and industrial platform from design to system build.
The Thin Film Coating facility is the first of its kind in Wales. It provides a production scale dedicated research facility to allow the research and development of the next generation of thin film coatings. Working together with industrial partners to enable the development of new products and processes for a wide range of industrial applications.
