Christabel completed her nurse training in 2000 with the University of Central England in Birmingham where she qualified as a Children’s Nurse. She has worked at several acute hospitals, district general and tertiary, including Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. She has worked across the age range within children’s nursing from neonates to adolescents. She has also spent time working as a specialist nurse in the acute pain service whilst working at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Since moving to Shropshire in 2013 Christabel has worked predominantly with children and young people with complex health needs and learning disability. This has been in roles at Hope House Hospice and within commissioning at Shropshire CCG. Prior to joining Wrexham Glyndwr University, Christabel worked as a Special Schools Nurse in a resource provision at a primary school in Wrexham. The position also incorporated the school nurse public health role for the whole school.

Outside of work Christabel is kept busy by her daughter.
