Debbie is a Graduate Associate on the Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (TrACE) Project Team at Wrexham University, a role undertaken since achieving a First-Class Psychology Degree and Level 7 PcET PGCE at the University. Recognising the importance of understanding, compassion and kindness, the project is working to mitigate the potential impacts of negative life experiences by promoting accepting, inclusive, compassionate learning environments and communities as part of WU’s Civic Mission.
Debbie returned to study as a non-traditional learner in her 40’s and has experience in supporting children and young people in a variety of educational settings and has clinical experience of supporting individuals with enduring mental health conditions. She likes to keep busy and also lectures in Health and Psychology at the University of Chester and is a Social Surveys Interviewer with the Office for National Statistics.
