Emma is a trained primary school teacher who has taught in mainstream schools in England at key stages One and Two and has also taught in a special school for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. She studied for an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and Communication Disorders at the University of Manchester, followed by a primary PGCE at UCW Aberystwyth.

More recently, Emma has completed an MA in Education (SEN) and also has gained professional qualifications as a teacher and assessor of dyslexia.

Emma lives in Shrewsbury with her husband and two teenage sons and in her spare time enjoys running and walks in the countryside, as well as foreign travel.
