Jackie Raven
Senior Lecturer in Counselling

Jackie qualified as a person-centred counsellor in 1996 and worked for the NHS and privately. She continued to study achieving ‘certified psychotherapist’ status with UKCP.
Jackie worked within private and public sectors as a therapist and maintained a private practice throughout. She became interested in working with children and trained/worked for an organisation that specialised in attachment difficulties experienced by looked after children.
Jackie ran a business partnership training foster carers and adoptive parents in how to help children and young people that had experienced trauma.
She now has a small supervisory practice as well as lecturing at Wrexham.
