Jayne is a highly experienced nurse, having qualified in 2000, and has since specialised in critical care, particularly in Recovery and Theatres. With over 10 years of mentoring experience in this field, she has developed a strong passion for supporting and guiding students.
In February 2019, Jayne joined Wrexham University as a Practice Educator Facilitator, bringing her wealth of experience in student supervision and placement quality management.
In May 2023, Jayne transitioned into the role of Lecturer in Simulation, where she plays a vital role in incorporating simulation-based learning into healthcare education. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Simulation-Based Education, further solidifying her expertise in teaching and learning. A Certified Mental Health First Aider, Jayne is committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for students.
Outside of work, Jayne is an avid runner and is passionate about promoting both physical and mental well-being in her professional and personal life.
