Kelly Smith

Kelly Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Programme Leader for the Master of Education programmes at Wrexham University. Prior to joining Wrexham University as a Lecturer in Education in 2015, she worked in the early years and primary sectors for 18 years and taught in a number of further education institutions. Throughout her career Kelly has focused on teaching, learning and assessment and has taught across a range of programmes from Early Years Practice, Post-Compulsory Education and Higher Education and at all levels of study. Kelly is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). She is a member of the Welsh Government's National MA Education Executive Team, a National Affiliate of the Centre for International Research into Leadership in Education (CIRLE) at Cardiff Metropolitan University and a member of the Collaborative Research Network (CRN) in Leadership and Professional Learning. She is a doctoral researcher with research interests in professional learning and motivation for learning.
