I am an experienced business lecturer with a background in academic leadership, curriculum development, and student supervision. Currently my role is a Lecturer and Deputy on the MBA programme at Wrexham University, where I lead on core business modules such as Implementing Strategies, Creative Change and Innovation, and Research Projects. I also coordinate the dissertation journey for our postgraduate students, ensuring a high standard of academic support and engagement.
My career spans roles in higher education, professional recruitment, and banking, where I developed a wide range of transferable skills. These include strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. My teaching approach is student-centric, emphasising inclusivity and practical application of business theories. I am experienced in supporting international students and facilitating online and technology based learning environments.
In addition to my teaching and professional experience, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at Swansea University, with a focus on social enterprises. My academic journey also includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA), BA (Hons) in Business and a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, which complement my practical experience and underpin my commitment to lifelong learning.
My research interests centre on social enterprises and their role in fostering sustainable development and social impact. I am particularly interested in exploring the strategic and operational challenges faced by social enterprises, including governance, funding models, and stakeholder engagement. A key area of focus is examining how these organizations balance social missions with financial sustainability.
I am also interested in the role of innovation within social enterprises, including how they leverage technology and community partnerships to create and scale social impact. Additionally, I investigate the intersection of social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility (CSR), exploring how businesses adopt hybrid models to achieve social and environmental goals.
