Matthew McDonald-Dick
Lecturer in Computing
I have been employed at Wrexham University since 2022 as a Lecturer in Games & Media. I hold a BSc (Hons) and an MSc in Computer Game Development. I have a strong interest in machine learning and its potential to enhance the digital landscape within the Games & Media industry and I am looking forward to pursuing a PhD in future focussed on this topic.
Prior to my current position, I worked as a sessional lecturer while completing my PGCE (PCET), gaining valuable experience in teaching in Higher Education. I have taught a variety of subjects, including maths, programming, networking, and cyber security. Currently, my focus is on game programming, level design, and artificial intelligence.
Outside of work, I am a passionate Formula One fan and enjoy spending time with my cat, Spot and enjoying the outdoors.
