Picture of staff member

Natalie is a lecturer in Criminology and currently undertaking a PhD. Her PhD research is exploring how autistic girls make and develop friendships during adolescence.

Prior to her PhD, Natalie worked as a specialist practitioner in a school for autistic children. It was here that her interest was sparked as she observed there was significantly less girls than boys receiving an autism diagnosis and therefore less girls who were accessing specialist provisions.

Natalie is currently teaching criminology and has a keen interest in neurodiversity in the criminal justice system.
