Sam Baker
Senior Lecturer Practitioner Occupational Therapy (Mental Health)
Having spent the early years of my career working in a gym as a personal trainer and GP referral instructor, I trained in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southampton – graduating in 2016.
I then spent several years working in Forensic practice, specifically within a High Security hospital. Prior to joining the Wrexham team, I took up a first of its kind role for OT in a Stalking Intervention Service in Hampshire – a brand new role for Occupational Therapy, working alongside Police, Probation and Victim Advocacy.
I now work part time at Wrexham and part time as an Advanced Forensic Practitioner in a community learning disabilities team.
My main interests outside of work include Football (I am a big Liverpool fan), Badminton, CrossFit and spending time with our two sausage dogs!
