I am a PhD researcher specialising in forensic anthropology and a sessional lecturer at Wrexham University since September 2023. My research evaluates morphometric and metric techniques in identifying a modern Greek-Cypriot population.

I contribute to the applied science department by assisting with lectures, marking and lab practicals for BSc Forensic Science, BSc Biomedical Science, MRes Biomedical Science and MRes Forensic Anthropology and Bioarchaeology courses.

I am currently a student affiliate for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and serving as a committee member for the Diversity Outreach Committee.

    Research Projects

    Title Role Description
Metric and Morphological Evaluation of Ancestry and Sex Estimation in a Greek-Cypriot Population. Main Author This is my current PhD topic.
Molecular Analysis of Placental DNA to Investigate for Bullous Icthyosiform Erythroderma (BIE) Susceptibility in Humans. Main Author I used PCR techniques and designed my own gel primers to analyse placental DNA to investigate for a rare skin condition called BIE.
Does Paget's Disease Affect the Carbon and Nitrogen Isotope Composition of Bone Collagen? Main Author This was part of my master's dissertation. This consisted of me independently conducting a stable isotope experiment using the bone saw, isotope ratio mass spectrometer and multiple acids.
Critical Review of the Effects of Gender Reassignment Surgery and Related Hormone Treatment on Morphological Sex Estimation in Forensic Anthropology Main Author This project was part of my master's dissertation. I was able to critically review medical and forensic anthropological literature in order to review the effects of gender affirmation surgery and related hormone treatment therapy in forensic anthropology. This project lead to multiple conferences.
