I came to Wrexham as a Senior Lecturer on a short-term contract which has now been made permanent. My role is to provide the following Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) modules to enable the multidisciplinary team to prescribe within the current legal frameworks.
NHS7C1 (Nurse L7); NHS7D8 (Pharmacist L7); HLT704 (AHP L7); NHS6A5 (Nurse L6); NHS736 (AHP SP L7) and NHS6A1/2 V100.
My background is as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner since 2015 and NMP since 2006.
In addition to NMP, I will support the delivery of NHS7D6, the Advanced Practice (AP) module Clinical Assessment, Diagnostics and Reasoning in Advanced Practice Part One and in time further elements of AP and other modules associated with prescribing.
My areas of interest are post graduate education, academic writing, the comprehensive geriatric assessment and plans developed from this, pharmacological and non-pharmacological management and appropriate prescribing, titration, safety netting, review and deprescribing.
