Healthier options

You wanted healthier options to be available in the canteen
We Did:
Ensure that healthier food options are available in the canteen, along with meal deals and special offers.

Graduation
You Said:
You wanted two graduation ceremonies a year
We Did:
Introduced an additional graduation ceremony each year. We now hold two a year during Easter and October.

Accessibility
You Said:
You wanted graduation to be more accessible
We Did:
Developed an accessibility plan to deliver immediate improvements and set out future actions.

Access to more e-books

You wanted access to more e-books
We Did:
We’ve expanded our collection to over 790,000 through ProQuest eBooks increasing from 180,000 with an enhanced subscription. This collection covers all subject areas, includes titles from recognised academic publishers, and offers a range of accessibility features.

Study spaces

You wanted quiet study spaces in the library
We Did:
Recent refurbishments on the first floor of the library now include individual and small group study pods.

Employment and further study

We need more support to secure employment and further study opportunities
We Did:
We delivered over 800 tailored workshops and one-to-one career coaching sessions, helping students build confidence and secure employment or move into further study.

Employer connections

We hosted over 40 careers fairs and events, creating opportunities for thousands of students to meet industry professionals.

Real-world experiences

We Did:
We promoted over 8,000 paid and unpaid work experience opportunities including internships and work placements across diverse sectors, giving students hands-on experience and boosting their CVs.

Welsh Language

You wanted wider opportunities to develop Welsh language

We recruited a new member of staff to strengthen Welsh language provision.
We also introduced tailored Welsh language skills modules for Social Work and Allied Health programmes.

Digital tools

We strengthened the online careers platform, offering virtual appointments, job boards, and AI-powered CV reviews, making career support accessible anytime.

Wifi investment
