Caroline Platt is Managing Director of Platts Group, a third-generation family business based on Llay Industrial Estate in Wrexham. The group comprises Platts Agriculture, Platts Transport, and Platts Commercial Services and have been operating in Wrexham for over 50 years. She has led the group's growth into a nationally operating and exporting manufacturer of products, serving rural communities across the UK and Ireland.
Under her leadership, Platts won the Federation of Small Businesses' Family Business of the Year 2022 award. She also previously held an appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from 2018-2022, recognising both product quality and commitment to sustainability. In 2023, she was Highly Commended for Sustainability by IOD Wales and actively champions green initiatives.
She is the Chair of the Wrexham Leadership Alliance, a Board Director at the Federation of Small Businesses, and actively supports employment and education partnerships. This includes working with The Farming Community Network, Agri-Cation, and WeMindTheGap, as well as collaborating with schools and colleges, driving connections between industry and community.
