Howard Jones
Independent governor
Howard is a retired finance professional who worked in the manufacturing industry from 1983 to 2018, including ten years as Chief Financial Officer at Kronospan based in Chirk.
Whist a student at Lancaster University, Howard was a sabbatical officer for the Students’ Union, acting as treasurer, and sat on the University Court, Council, and Finance Committees. Howard was also a member of the National Union of Students Finance Committee for two years.
A resident of Llangollen for over 30 years, Howard’s main hobby is cave exploration and he has travelled the world with that interest, in addition to undertaking the role of Treasurer and Insurance Manager of the British Caving Association from 2018-2024.
