Lucy Scott
Independent Governor
Lucy graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Mass Communication, having attended on a tennis scholarship and later studied a MA in Marketing at Durham University alongside a role as Head Tennis coach at the university.
Lucy has considerable experience at senior leadership and Board level including in Chief Executive Officer roles and Board and Trustee roles. Lucy is currently Chief Executive Officer at a UK charity, a Trustee at the Sports Council Trust Company, Sport England's charity and a Trustee at Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre.
Lucy has been involved in sport for over 30 years, having represented Wales, North Wales and the GB Universities student tennis teams. Lucy is a Level 4 tennis coach, Level 2 padel coach and coach education tutor, and has coached tennis players from grassroots to international level.
Lucy is from Wrexham, a lifelong Wrexham AFC fan and is very passionate about giving back to her hometown. Having had a broad career spanning sport and learning, Lucy is looking forward to combining both of those passions as a Governor at Wrexham University.
