Paul Kirkbright
Independent governor

Paul is currently the Head of Knowledge Exchange and Partnerships for the South London Partnership. The South London Partnership is a cross-political party sub-regional collaboration of six London boroughs, working together and with partners to champion and build on the many strengths of South London as a place for people to live, work and thrive.
As part of his role Paul is also leading the BIG South London partnership, leading the development of a best-in-class ecosystem of innovation and enterprise based collaboration to stimulate knowledge-based growth and improve productivity right across the South London region. BIG South London brings together the knowledge, expertise and resources from across over a dozen partner Universities and Further Education Colleges looking to support the creation of inclusive, sustainable growth, and the development and success of all South West London-based businesses, charities, and 3rd sector organisations.
Prior to his time with the South London Partnership, Paul worked as Deputy Provost on the development of University Centre Shrewsbury in Shropshire and as Director of Innovation and Enterprise at the University of Chester, as well as time working within the civil service, local government, and business representative organisations.
Paul lives in Shrewsbury and maintains many connections across the Marches and England/Wales border regions. A passionate believer in the civic role of Universities as anchor institutions to serve people and place, Paul is keen to support the vision and values of Wrexham and the region that has served him so well.
