If someone had told me a few years ago that moving hundreds of miles away to study broadcast journalism wouldn't work out, and that my actual path to success was waiting for me right back home at Wrexham University, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.  

My name is Emma, and today I work as a Content Producer, a role I only really started to look at when I transferred to study Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Studies at Wrexham. But before that, my journey started with a realisation that the traditional "move far away" route wasn't for me. I made a quick pivot away from my initial studies in Brighton and decided to look at my options closer to home.
