Our healthcare simulation centre provides you with a cutting-edge life-like healthcare environment. This space hosts two stimulated hospital ward spaces, an observation room and reception area.
Stimulated hospital ward
Our two state-of-the-art simulation wards, equipped with high-fidelity manikins, provide an ideal environment for students to develop their practical skills.
These wards also play a crucial role during our annual Major Incident Day, where they simulate the bustling atmosphere of an emergency department responding to a serious community event.
Reception area
At the heart of the Simulation Centre, this space replicates what patients will encounter when entering a hospital setting featuring a check-in desk and patient waiting area.
Our Paramedic Science students will handover patients from our on-site ambulance, to our students to be triaged.
Observation room
A private side room featuring our state-of-the-art Anatomage table. This interactive 3D replica of the human body allows students to explore and understand the various systems that comprise the human anatomy in detail.
Additionally, a one-way mirror enables academics to discreetly observe and evaluate students' performance, providing timely and constructive feedback when the room is used as a side-bay.
“Training with high-fidelity manikins in the simulation suite has been invaluable in building my confidence and competence in clinical practice.”
