Research Workshop Grant
- Open Call between the 1st of October 2025- 30th of April 2026
- Funding Available: Up to £500
- Application Limit: One per person/ research team per academic year
- Reporting: A progress report must be submitted by the 1st of June
- Conditions: Funding must be spent by the 1st of July
- Timeline: Please allow 5 working days from submitting your application to receiving an outcome letter
The Research Workshop Grant is designed to support workshops that foster the development of new and innovative research activity. The primary aim is to encourage the exploration of emerging research ideas and the development of new research agendas, such as the early conceptualisation of a future grant proposal.
The grant also seeks to facilitate the formation of new networks and partnerships, both within and beyond the institution, to stimulate interdisciplinary or cross-sector collaboration.
Additionally, the funding can be used to support workshops or focus groups involving participants from existing research projects, to collect data, or co-designing future research plans that contribute to shaping new directions in research.
Eligibility
- Open to academic staff, researchers, and research students at Wrexham University
- Only one application per person/team per academic year is permitted
- Applicants must clearly demonstrate how the proposed activity supports the creation or shaping of new research directions or collaborations, or contributes to the data collection of an existing research project.
