The Seed Funding scheme is designed to stimulate early-stage research in the fields of Composites, Renewable Energies, Power Systems, Electrical Drives, Antennas, and Robotics. This project aims to support researchers in the early stages of project development by enabling them to develop new concepts or approaches that can form the foundation for larger grant applications. It also seeks to help researchers establish new collaborations, including cross-disciplinary partnerships and links with industry.
Funding may be used to access essential equipment, software, or specialist resources needed to initiate research activity. In addition, the scheme can support feasibility studies, proof-of-concept experiments, or pilot data collection to test ideas and gather preliminary evidence in preparation for more substantial research bids.
