The FACE Small Research Personal Development Grant is offering funding up to £1000 to support individual research development activities.
This grant is designed to help academic staff, researchers and postgraduate research students further support activities that contribute meaningfully to an existing research idea or agenda. Funding must be used to support research-related activity, which may include (but is not limited to):
- Participation in workshops, training, or short courses
- Data collection and preliminary pilot studies
- Acquisition of research materials or resources
- Networking activities that enhance collaboration or knowledge exchange
- Dissemination of early research ideas or findings
- Fieldwork or site visits relevant to the project
Applications must be clearly underpinned by an existing research idea, and should outline how the proposed activity will support the development or progression of that idea.
We particularly encourage applications that involve student participation—whether through collaborative activity, mentoring opportunities, or support roles that contribute to their own research development.
Eligibility
- Open to Wrexham University academic staff, technicians, researchers and postgraduate researchers
- Applicants must have a clearly defined research idea or project already in development
