The Social Inclusion Research Grant supports small, impactful research projects that address social challenges in Wrexham and beyond.

Two awards of £5,000 are available for projects that will contribute to meaningful change, inform policy and practice, and amplify the voices of those most affected. Proposals must clearly align with at least one of the following themes:

  • Housing and Homelessness
  • Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • Trauma and Wellbeing
  • The Wrexham Effect
  • Social Inclusion and Justice

Eligibility

  • Open to Wrexham University academics and researchers
  • Projects must clearly align with the Cyfiawnder priority areas
  • Projects must have clear, measurable outcomes that can be used to further advance the field
  • Applications should show a commitment to inclusion and involve lived experience where possible
  • Applications should demonstrate the potential for impact on policy, practice and/or community outcomes.

The lead must be a member of staff at the University, but student co-leads are strongly encouraged.
