Alison Williams
Senior Lecturer in Nursing
Alison initially qualified in 1999 having completed her Adult Nurse Education at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool. On qualifying, Alison came to live in North Wales and quickly gained the post of community staff nurse within Conwy and Denbighshire. Whilst working as a community nurse Alison successfully completed her BSc (Hons) in Applied Community and Health Studies and became a District Nurse. Alison has worked within nurse education for many years, initially as a Lecturer Practitioner in Primary Care before progressing to Senior Lecturer in 2007 and finally Programme Lead for the District Nursing programme in 2011.
Alison was honoured to receive the Queen’s Nurse title in 2016 for her continued dedication to community nursing.
In her spare time Alison enjoys walking her two cocker spaniel dogs and enjoys the outdoors with her family. This year Alison has taken up playing golf and more recently enrolled on a Welsh course.
