Beccy Davis

Senior Lecturer in Nursing

Picture of staff member

I completed my Adult nursing degree in 2005. Once qualified, I went to work within the NHS. My first role was a staff nurse on a medical ward, then went on to become a sister in the Emergency Department where I gained many skills in all fields of nursing from minor injuries, critical care, and Paediatrics.

My most recent role was as a Health Visitor and CONI Co-Ordinator, where I undertook the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course at Wrexham University in 2016. I have a keen interest in public health and health promotion and have worked with vulnerable families within the community and have gained knowledge and experience within safeguarding of both children and adults.

In my clinical roles I have been a mentor and practice supervisor/assessor for students. I have worked within the NHS for 20 years and decided to follow my passion and interest for education and working with and supporting student nurses in their nursing journey. I have worked at Wrexham University since 2022, as a Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) and now a Senior Lecturer in Adult Pre-registration nursing team.

Outside of work I enjoy playing netball and spending time with my family.
