I work as a lecturer in adult nursing at the St Asaph Campus.
I started my nursing journey at the technical college (now Wrexham University) studying a pre-service career course in 1984.
I qualified in 1989 at The Royal Shrewsbury hospital and I have had a varied career, working on Orthopaedic wards, District hospitals and as a Pre-operative Nurse.
For the last fourteen years I have worked in Primary Care as a Practice Nurse and following my passion of palliative care, I worked at the hospice and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
During this time, I studied a Diploma in Higher Education in complementary Therapy for Health, Bachelor of Science in Primary Care and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Leadership, all at Glyndwr University (Wrexham). I am currently studying for my Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
I joined the team in St Asaph in December 2023 and I am enjoying teaching the next generation of Registered Nurses.
I am married with two sons; I love nothing better than to spend time with my family and our two wild and crazy dogs.
