James Fergus

James Fergus MBACP is a practicing person-centred counsellor, prior to joining Wrexham University James worked in Chester as part of a team of counselling coordinators, primarily supporting students completing their placement hours. James has experience of working with a breadth of complex mental health issues in a variety of settings. This includes working with children and young people, working with adults in recovery from substance misuse and supporting clients with a history of childhood trauma.

James is also a qualified clinical supervisor and is working toward accreditation with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

James is looking forward to embarking on his Masters in Advanced Counselling Practice in 2025.
