I studied Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Central England from 2003 to 2006. I worked as a Speech and Language Therapist for BCUHB from 2006 until 2024. I developed a specialism in working with children and adults with complex needs and learning disabilities, most recently working in an inpatient mental health setting. I have also trained and worked as a Registered Intermediary, supporting vulnerable witnesses in accessing the justice system.

I joined the Speech and Language Therapy Lecturing team at Wrexham University in 2023, alongside my BCUHB role. I now work four days a week as a Senior Lecturer in the Speech and Language Therapy program and continue to be registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health Care Professions Council.
