Having qualified as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS in 1997, I have worked within Small Animal Veterinary Practices throughout the Wirral, Liverpool and surrounding areas.
I was previously employed at The University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital (SATH) where I worked for 11 years as a Surgical, Patient Care and Oncology Nurse. During my time, I was responsible for the supervision and training of undergraduate veterinary students, student veterinary nurses, and animal care apprentices.
I joined Wrexham in June 2024 as a Clinical Placement Support Tutor (CPST) covering a Maternity Cover post within the Veterinary Nursing Department. I supported the Veterinary Nursing students as they attended clinical placements as part of their FdSc Veterinary Nursing programme. I returned to the role as a permanent member of staff in 2026, and I'm looking forward to being a CPST once again!

I lead the Veterinary Nursing Clinical Skills Sessions where students are taught the knowledge and practical skills needed for their clinical practice placements in their FdSc Programme.
