I completed my BSc Nursing (Adult) and worked in both acute medicine and surgery for a number of years. Gaining a vast variety of skills, I developed an interest in public and preventative health. I then completed a PGdip in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing with Wrexham University followed by a MSc. Working as a School Nurse, I worked with families and young people to promote healthy behaviours and address any health inequalities.
I have supported both pre and post registration students in a variety of practice settings, and this enhanced my passion for nurse education.
I have two children and a boxer dog who keep me busy. I enjoy walking, reading, watching live sports and attending music concerts.
