Dr Natalie Roch

Natalie gained her first degree at the University of Wales, Bangor in 2008 in Psychology, and her MSc in Psychological Research at University of Wales, Bangor in 2010. During 2009 and 2010 Natalie worked as a Research Assistant in the Bangor Brain and Cognitive Development Lab at Bangor University, before completing her PhD in Psychology within that research lab in 2015. Her PhD Thesis was titled ‘Bilingualism and Cognition: An ERP Approach’.

Following completion of her PhD, Natalie joined Wrexham University in the role of Psychology Technician in 2016. From there she was appointed Lecturer in Biological Psychology in 2017, and started her role as Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Programme Leader in Psychology in 2018. Natalie obtained her Fellowship of the HEA in 2017, and Chartered status with the BPS in 2018.

In 2022 Natalie was appointed as Principal Lecturer within the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences, and has responsibility for overseeing the Psychology and Counselling departments.

In her life outside of Wrexham University, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family; loves everything Disney and Marvel; has a passion for sport including football and wrestling; and loves attending the theatre and music gigs.
