Dr Phuspa Poopalasingam

Dr Phuspa Poopalasingam is a Senior Lecturer in Business and the originator of the ‘sensereceiving’ concept developed through her PhD at the Stirling Management School (2021) on sensemaking, sensegiving and sensereceiving in organisational decision-making.

She brings extensive experience delivering large-scale multi-stakeholder projects to deadline and budget in Vancouver, Canada, and across Southeast Asia. As a Corporate Investment Banker, she led deal execution on merger and acquisition transactions and managed risk on complex financial portfolios.

Before entering academia, she served as a Senior Corporate Manager, leading teams and coordinating organisation-wide training, audit and compliance during a period of rapid expansion. She has lectured Micro-and Macro-economics for the American Degree Studies in Economics, the British (External) Diploma in Economics (London School of Economics, University of London), and the Association of Business Executives (UK).

Her academic and professional work is underpinned by first-hand senior management experience as a board member, non-executive director and investor, giving her direct insight into executive communication and boardroom decision-making dynamics.
