“Uniqueness and talent” of Photography & Film students to be showcased at new exhibition

An exhibition showcasing the “mesmerising“ works of final year Photography & Film students at Wrexham Glyndwr University is to open this week.
The Faction Unthemed #FU23 exhibition is a diverse showcase that previews a selection of works from across final year undergraduate and postgraduate students from the university.
Opening this Thursday 26 January at The Insert Gallery, Regent Street, Wrexham at 6pm until 8pm. The premise of the exhibition is to exhibit a glimpse from major projects that the students have been undertaking over the past four months.
Stephen King, Programme Leader for Photography and Film at Wrexham Glyndwr University, said: “Faction Unthemed #FU23 by our Photography and Film students at the Wrexham School of Art demonstrates the continuing artistic and professional possibilities achievable by our talented students.
“We are immensely proud to say that our students have worked extremely hard to produce works which demonstrate their true uniqueness in not only how they see things, but also how they engage with their environments and communities.
“The works present the broad diversity that is manifold within the expanded field of lens based media in 2023. Faction Unthemed #FU23 is an absolute must-see.”

Professor of Contemporary Art Practice at Wrexham Glyndwr University, added: “The students in this show have produced works which continue to expand the field in fabulous ways and clearly demonstrates excellent creative sensibility and technical proficiency, combined with individualistic ways of seeing.”
The exhibition at The Insert Gallery is open to the public from this Thursday 26 January, and then every Monday to Friday, from 10am-5pm until Thursday 16 February. Entry is free.
