Wrexham University ranks top in Wales for student satisfaction for second year running

Student satisfaction at Wrexham University has been ranked top in Wales for the second year running in the Complete University Guide 2026.
The Guide has also ranked the University joint third in the UK for levels of student satisfaction – out of 130 higher education institutions.
The institution has also performed strongly in a number of subject areas – in particular, Sociology subjects – in which the University offers a course in Criminology and Criminal Justice (BA Hons) – which ranked first in the UK for student satisfaction for the third year in a row.
The University has also ranked top in the UK for student satisfaction in Health Studies subjects – in which the institution offers courses in BSc (Hons) Mental Health and Wellbeing, Dip HE Health and Social Wellbeing and BSc (Hons) Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
At subject level across all UK institutions, the University is ranked:
- First for student satisfaction in Sociology subjects.
- First for student satisfaction in Health Studies subjects.
- Second for student satisfaction in Social Work – in which the University offers a degree in BA (Hons) Social Work.
- Top five for student satisfaction in Education – the University offers courses in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies, BA (Hons) Education Studies and BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS.
- Top five for student satisfaction in Law – in which the University offers courses in LLB Law and BSc (Hons) Professional Policing.
At subject level out of Welsh universities, Wrexham University is ranked:
- First in for student satisfaction in Sociology.
- First for student satisfaction in Social Work.
- First for student satisfaction in Law.
- First for student satisfaction in Health Studies.
- Joint first for graduate prospects in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Occupational Therapy – in which the University offers a course in in BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy.
