Wrexham University shortlisted for four Whatuni Student Choice Awards

Wrexham University has been shortlisted for four Whatuni Student Choice Awards (the WUSCAs).The annual awards are a celebration of the student voice and the hard work of Higher Education providers across the UK to deliver exceptional student experience.At this year’s ceremony, Wrexham University has been shortlisted in the following categories:- Student Support- Career Prospects- Lecturers and Teaching Quality- Halls and Student AccommodationWhatuni Student Choice Awards, now in their 11th year, are the only Higher Education awards in the country where institutions are judged and reviewed solely by students themselves. This cycle alone saw seeing over 39,000 student reviews being collected from over 100 universities in the UK.Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor of the university expressed her delight at the nominations: “Wrexham University is delighted to once again be shortlisted in several categories for the Whatuni awards.“This is real recognition of the quality of our staff and the significant investment in our facilities in recent years, with a transformative impact on the experience of our students.“I congratulate my colleagues on getting this far and wish them the best of luck on the night.”These nominations come only six months after it was announced the University had remained first in England and Wales for social inclusion for the sixth year running, as well as, once again, being ranked in the top 10 for teaching quality in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in London on the evening of Wednesday 24 April.
