The FSLS Interdisciplinary Research Grant supports innovative, collaborative research under the theme of Health and Wellbeing. This funding is designed to encourage new interdisciplinary research collaborations across the University by bringing together staff from different departments, disciplines, or faculties.
It aims to promote the sharing of expertise, methodologies, and approaches across academic boundaries, fostering a more connected and innovative research environment. The grant will support the development of research projects that align with the broad theme of Health and Wellbeing, including physical, mental, emotional, social, and environmental dimensions. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to strengthen the University’s research culture by seeding future funding applications, scholarly publications, and knowledge exchange activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Wrexham University academics and researchers
- Applications must involve collaboration between staff in at least two different departments, disciplines, or faculties
- Applications must demonstrate interdisciplinary collaboration
- Applications must align with the theme of Health and Wellbeing
- Potential to generate future research activity and strengthen research culture
The lead must be a member of staff at the University, but student co-leads are strongly encouraged.
