    Rebekah Taylor received a First in BSc (Hons) Forensic science in 2022 from Wrexham University. During this time serval small scale research projects were conducted into various aspects of forensic anthropology.

    In 2023 Rebekah completed her MRes Forensic anthropology and Bioarcheology with a Distinction. with the focus of the research being within the world of 3D analysis and reconstruction.

    She is currently enrolled on the MPhill /PhD researchers degree, where once again the focus is 3D forensic anthropology.

    Does Alternating Toothed Blades Result in Greater Bone Loss Than Straight Toothed Blades? And How Does Width Play a Factor?

    Establishing how blade type effects bone mass loss in relation to dismemberment.

    2022

    Comparison of Human Long Bones when Measured and Reconstructed in the Physical Plane and Measured and Reconstructed in the Virtual plane.

    Investigated the use of 3D scanners in reconstructing fractured human remains.

    Trainee Archaeologist Gained foundational knowledge in archaeology, mastering the proper use of excavation tools and an awareness of site health and safety.
    Successfully excavated multiple trenches, leading to the discovery of significant artefacts
    Forensic Anthropology Laboratory Technician Assisted in forensic research, including specialist storage for decomposition studies.
    Aided in the curation and maintenance of the university's forensic anthropology collection
    Volunteer Teaching Assistant

    Assisted in teaching, monitored student progress, and managed exam invigilation during Human Osteology module.

    • Supported instructional activities, prepared dissection materials, and maintained cleanliness post-dissection for Anatomy Pathology & Forensic Investigation of Human Remains module.
    • Facilitated teaching sessions, focusing on practical application and student engagement in Crime Scene Investigation Module
    • Maintained the Forensic Taphonomic Research Facility, ensuring optimal conditions for scientific investigation.
