Taofik Adeosun
Lecturer in Accountancy and Finance
Taofik is a seasoned finance professional, deeply committed to education and continuous learning. He began his career as an Accountant in 1997 with International SOS, a global leader in health and security risk management. Here, he gained invaluable experience in financial accounting and control, setting the stage for a distinguished two decade at Shell.
At Shell, Taofik held senior roles across Financial Accounting and Control, Payroll Management, Project and Business Partnering, Asset Accounting, E&P Governance, and Venture Management.
With a passion for mentoring, Taofik has guided many aspiring accountants to success as a tutor for ACCA, ICAN, AAT and other professional exams.
In 2024, Taofik joined the North Wales Business School at Wrexham University from Kendal College in Cumbria, England where he was an Accountancy Lecturer.
He graduated with an Upper Second Class degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Governance and Sustainable Development from Staffordshire University, and a Master of Science with Distinction in Islamic Banking and Finance from Bangor University, where he received the Best Student Performance in Accounting, Banking and Finance.
Taofik holds a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) and is pursuing a PGCert in HE Learning and Teaching at Wrexham University. He is a Fellow of the association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and an associate Fellow of the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI) London.
In his personal time, Taofik enjoys reading various genres, travelling and reflecting on current affairs.
