What are your opening hours?
Sports Centre
Monday - Thursday - 0700 – 2200
Friday – 0700 - 2100
Saturday - Sunday – 0900 – 1800
Fitness Suite
Monday – Thursday - 0700 - 2100 (last entry at 2000)
Friday – 0700 – 2000 (last entry 1900)
Saturday - Sunday - 0900 – 1700 (last entry at 1600)

Do I have to be a member to use your facilities?
No, you do not have to be a member to use our sports facilities. Our sports hall and other facilities are available to staff, students and members of the public and are available on a pay and play basis. Just contact us for more information.

I’m not a student – are the facilities open to members of the public?
Yes of course, we are also a community sports centre and welcome anyone to use our facilities as well as staff and students of the university.

Can I hire equipment from the sports centre?
We have racquets, shuttles, bats and balls available for guests who are hiring out badminton or table tennis courts. For all other activities, unless organised by the University, we advise you to bring your own equipment.

Do I have to be a member to use your facilities?
No, you do not have to be a member to use our sports facilities, however memberships are available for our fitness suite which offer great value for money. We don't have contracts so there's no commitment involved.

Do I require an induction before using the fitness suite?
Inductions are not compulsory, however we would advise all new users to have an induction in order to familiarise themselves with the equipment. Our fully trained fitness instructors are on hand to answer any questions or should you require assistance. All our memberships to our fitness suite include a free induction.

Is there a minimum age to use the facilities? Can I bring children with me?
You must be over the age of 16 to use our fitness suite.

Do you have lockers? If so, how much do they cost?
Lockers are available on-site in both the internal and external changing areas. To use the lockers, you will require a £1 coin or a trolley token - which are returnable after use.

Is there a minimum age to use the facilities? Can I bring children with me?
You must be over the age of 16 to use our fitness suite. All other facilities are available for use by all ages - under 16s must have adult supervision.

I am a wheelchair user – are your facilities accessible?
Yes, we have toilets and changing rooms that are wheelchair accessible. If using the fitness suite we have a lift available to give you access.
