This course will introduce you to range of topics that can help to promote wellbeing for individuals and groups. This should help in understanding quite how many people, and areas, can make a difference to people’s health.

You will gain an understanding of what wellbeing means, knowledge of some of the evidence behind health promotion activities, as well as ideas to put into practice.

Across the weeks you will develop a reflective journal, helping you to consolidate what you have learned.

This course is great for anyone who is working or volunteering with others in a helping capacity, or for anyone looking to diversify their practice.

No previous study necessary.

 

Teaching & Assessment

  • Sessions will be run on campus, allowing for much reflection with the group and staff.
  • Assessment for the course will be completed within the sessions. There are a few enjoyable short tasks to complete, and there will be lots of support available.
