Welsh Language Governance
Welsh Language Governance explains how we meet our responsibilities to promote and support the Welsh language across our work. It sets out the policies, procedures and standards that guide compliance and ensure Welsh is treated no less favourably than English.
Students have the right to access services and, where provision is available, education and support through the medium of Welsh. Our governance arrangements ensure these rights are clear, consistently applied and monitored.
Annual Reports
We publish an annual Welsh Language Report outlining our compliance with Welsh Language Standards, highlighting progress and identifying areas for improvement. Reports may be presented as interactive, embedded PDFs to improve accessibility and ease of navigation.
Policies
Our Welsh language policies underpin governance and operational practice, setting out commitments, responsibilities and expectations. These policies are kept under regular review to ensure continued compliance and relevance.
Compliance Notice
Our Compliance Notice sets out the Welsh Language Standards that apply to us under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011. It provides transparency about our legal duties and how they are implemented.
Submitting Through the Medium of Welsh
Students can submit assessments, appeals and formal correspondence through the medium of Welsh where provision is available. Guidance explains how Welsh‑medium submission is supported and fairly assessed.
Welsh Language Standards and Compliance
This section explains what the Welsh Language Standards are, how they apply in practice, and how compliance is monitored and reviewed to ensure continuous improvement.
