Applying Through UCAS
Apply through UCAS for all full-time undergraduate courses. Once you’ve chosen your course(s), register at UCAS.com. Course search opens in May and application submissions open in early September.
You can apply for up to five courses. The application fee is £28.95.
If you’re applying through a school or college, you may be given a buzzword to link your application. Independent applicants won’t need one but still apply via UCAS.
Applying Directly To Us
Use our e:Vision Portal if you’re applying for part-time undergraduate or postgraduate courses. Fill in all sections so we can make a decision quickly. If we need extra information, we’ll contact you – but providing all information initially will likely mean a speedier response.
Direct-apply courses open between early and mid-October.
UCAS Extra
UCAS Extra runs from February 26 to July 4 for applicants with no offers or who’ve declined all offers.
If we have vacancies, we’ll review your application and may make you an offer so you can add us as your Extra choice. To help us process this quickly, go to “View your application” in UCAS Track, copy your details, and email them to us.
For more information, visit the UCAS website.
Clearing
If you apply through UCAS after 30 June, your application goes straight into Clearing.
Clearing runs July–September for late applicants, those without a place, or anyone who has declined their offers.

Completing Your Application
Whether you apply via UCAS or directly, you can save your progress and return before submitting. You’ll need to provide:
- Personal details – Use your full legal name as shown on official documents. There is a Known As option (for your preferred first name(s) only).
- Qualifications – Include all completed and pending qualifications. If you have issues, contact UCAS or the WU Admissions team.
- A reference – Preferably from a teacher or professional who knows you well.
- A personal statement – There’s no perfect personal statement but for guidance, read our blog: How to Write the Perfect Personal Statement.
Submitting Your Qualifications
You must upload clear scans or photos of your original certificates via your Applicant Portal.
If you’re unable to upload them, email your documents to admissions@wrexham.ac.uk with your full name, course, and UCAS PID or Wrexham Student ID.
Tip for clear photos: Place documents on a flat surface, hold your camera directly above, ensure the full document is visible, and avoid shadows or glare. Upload files as a combined PDF where possible.
Key Dates and Deadlines
Most applications should be submitted by the equal consideration deadline: 14 January 2026. After this, courses may close once full.
If the deadline has passed, your course may still be open or may operate a reserve list.
Check the relevant course page or contact admissions@wrexham.ac.uk for current availability.
Receiving an Offer
Once you submit a UCAS application, it’s sent to our Admissions team. If successful, you’ll receive a conditional or unconditional offer via UCAS Hub, followed by a posted offer letter.
Direct applicants receive the same offer information via the E-Vision Portal.
If you’re unsuccessful, we do our best to highlight what you would need to do to be considered for a future intake.
Accepting an Offer
Research your options and visit the universities you’re considering before replying.
Reply deadlines depend on when you receive your final decision. Find your personal deadline in UCAS Hub or You can view the 2026 reply deadlines here.
When you’re ready, log in to UCAS Hub using your Personal ID, username and password.
For more guidance, see How To Accept Or Decline University Offers & Deadlines For Your Replies.
Results Day
To check whether the conditions of your offer have been met, we would recommend that you initially check on UCAS Hub. If your place has been confirmed, no further action is required – you’re in!
If your offer is still showing up as conditional, we’d recommend you check your UCAS Hub for a message on what we still need or feel free to give us a ring. It might be that we are still waiting on confirmation of your results or need some additional information before confirming your place.
If your results haven’t gone quite as you planned, don’t panic. If we are unable to offer you a place on the course you have applied for, we might be able to offer you an alternative. If we are able to offer an alternative course, you will be asked by UCAS to reply to your new offer through UCAS Hub within five days.
