Schools and community groups sign up to become a member of the Children’s University and once subscribed, their young people become CU members and receive a Passport to Learning and login details for their CU Online dashboard.

We work with young people around 8 to 16 years old as CU members can start collecting their stamp codes as soon as they reach year 4 in Primary School, and we’ll keep awarding stamp codes until they finish Secondary School.

Curriculum for Wales

The Children’s University also enables children and young people to develop towards the four purposes of the new Curriculum for Wales. We support our learners to become;

  • Ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world.
  • Healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

How do I sign up my school or group?

Each setting will have to commit to appointing two dedicated CU coordinators with good IT and communication skills who will be responsible for the in-house organisation of the scheme.

The coordinators will be responsible for;

  • Attending CU Online training sessions
  • Working with the CU Team to get all members enrolled on the scheme
  • Uploading activities at the school/community group onto the dashboard for young people
  • Giving out stamp codes
  • Setting up a display area with the provided resources
  • Resetting member passwords
  • Organising in-house certificate celebrations
  • Handing out newsletters and invites to special events
  • Supporting young people to continue

By completing the following form, the CU Team will be able to follow up on your enquiry with information tailored to your responses, location and age group of your young people. Please note, this option is currently only available to settings within Wrexham & Flintshire.

Once the form has been submitted, the team will review your answers and schedule a meeting either in person, on the telephone or online, to discuss your organisation's involvement and the timeline of events.

We anticipate a busy few months after the launch so there may be a delay in your organisation starting on the scheme.

Please note that by completing this form, you are not committed to joining the Children's University.
