Expression of Interest for North Wales Pilot
The information below relates to the Pilot that will run across North Wales in 2023 - 2024.
Wrexham Glyndwr University, through our civic mission, together with a wide range if partners, have been successful in securing over £800k investment from HEFCW to roll out the Children’s University across North Wales over 2023 to February 2024.
Please ensure that you have fully read and understood the aims and requirements of the Pilot before completing this survey.
Once the deadline has passed, we will analyse the submissions and be in touch.
Our targets are to work with 43 schools across North Wales (9 of which must be secondary schools) and 1000 young people. 500 of which must attend the Graduation ceremony having attained 30 hours of extracurricular activity.
We will need your help in identifying, training and supporting young people in your setting that will benefit from the Children’s University.
We envisage that the application process will be very popular with schools in the region so please, only apply, if you are certain that you can fulfil the SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT.
To apply for one of the free places, please complete the Expression of Interest form by the deadline - 9th June 2023
Please note that completion of the form does not guarantee your school a space in the scheme.
We are on hand to answer any queries that you may have before completing the form, so if you have any questions, please email childrens.university@glyndwr.ac.uk or call Natalie Edwards on 01978 293134.
We will review all applications received, and make a decision based on a number of variables including (but not limited to) location within the county, activities available at the setting and WIMD index.
If you are successfully shortlisted to join the Pilot, you will be required to complete the SLA.
If you are unsuccessful, we shall explain the other options available to your setting.
